Dixon -- Robert B."Bob" Dixon Sr., 72, a resident of Albuquerque since 1938, died peacefully at home Saturday afternoon, October 30, 1999, of heart failure. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Ottis and Alice Dixon; and brothers, Ralph A. and Merl Dixon. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Betty; sons, Robert B. Jr. and wife, Kathy, Gary S. and Michael O., all of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Rebecca Lynn and Robert B. III; brothers, Ronald O. and wife, Jeanne of Arizona and Gene F. and wife, Betty of Albuquerque. Bob was employed by PNM as a lineman for 20 years. He was a member of IBEW, Local 611 for 50 years. Since late 1970, he and Betty owned and operated a mobile home park. Memorial services will be held Saturday, 1:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE, with Pastor George Morris officiating. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at a later date. The family requests that memorial contributions be made in his name to Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation Presbyterian Hospice Homecare, P.O. Box 26666, 87125-6666 or to the charity of your choice.
