Lucero -- Mrs. Delfina Lucero, 86, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away on October 24, 1999. Mrs. Lucero is survived by five daughters, Julia Martinez, Lorraine Smith, Mary Chavez and husband, Tony, Pauline Johnson and husband, Johnny and Rose Wann and husband, Dale; two sons, Frank Lucero and Charles Lucero and wife, Theresa; sisters, Dora Mueller, Fran Lisenbee, Stella Ellen, Liela Miller and Maria Finley; two brothers, Robert Salazar and Barney Salazar; and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen Velasquez; and three sons, Raymond, Pete and George Lucero. Mrs. Lucero was a member of the Catholic Church, and enjoyed being outdoors working in her garden and growing flowers. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday evening, 7:00 p.m., at St. Edwins Catholic Church, 2105 Barcelona SW, with visitation at the church after 6:30 p.m. Deacon J.O. Luna, reciting. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday morning, 10:00 a.m., at St. Edwins Church with final viewing at the church after 9:30 a.m. Father Jose Hernandez, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Manny Smith, Eric Smith, Daniel Velasquez, Anthony Chavez, Tyrone Smith and Chris Sheldon. Honorary pallbearers will be Tyrone Smith II, George Lucero, Tony Chavez and Robert Johnson. Gabaldon Mortuary, 1000 Old Coors Rd. SW, in charge of the arrangements.
