Greene -- William Burke Greene, 77, died Sunday, October 24, 1999. He is survived by his children, Dr. Elizabeth Peltz of New Haven, CT, Dr. E.R."Dick" Greene and wife, Marisol of Montezuma, NM and Terri Greene League and husband, Kent of Pond Creek, OK; grandchildren, Tye, Heather, Dane; many other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Xelpho Greene; son, Mark Joe Greene in 1977; and brother, Dick Greene, who died in WWII. Mr. Greene was a graduate of the University of New Mexico, class of 1949 and is listed in Who's Who of American Universities. W.B. was a member of Kappa Sigma Chi Fraternity. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was one of the founders of V.F.W."Ike Cole" Post #337 in Estancia. Services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m., at Immanuel Presbyterian Church, 114 Carlisle Blvd. SE, with Rev. Joyce Lieberman and Rev. John Wild officiating. Interment will follow at Estancia Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to V.F.W.
