Naivar -- Julianne Marie Naivar, age 27, died Monday, October 18, 1999, in Los Alamos. Julianne was born on July 3, 1972 in Austin, Texas and moved with her family to Los Alamos in 1973. She grew up in Los Alamos and graduated from Los Alamos High School in 1990. Julianne was a member of the Lady Trooper's soccer team and received a soccer scholarship to Huntington College, Montgomery, Alabama. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Huntington in 1994. In September 1999, Julianne completed her course work as a massage therapist. She shared her talents as a Wilderness Ranger in Gunnison National Forest, as a home health provider in Colorado and Los Alamos, and as a Nordic Ski ranger. In 1995, Julianne spent time in New Zealand through the Willing Workers on Organic Farms, a cultural exchange program. Julianne was an energetic, young woman, who loved hiking, skiing, running and spending her time with family and friends. The positive energy she brought into a room will be missed by all who loved and knew her. Julianne is survived by her parents, Franklin and Aloma Naivar; her brothers, Mark of Los Alamos, Stephen of Santa Fe, Chris and his wife, Lynn of England; niece, Laura of England; her grandmother, Annie Naivar of Granger, TX; and many other relatives and friends. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. with a visitation to follow on Friday, October 22, 1999 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Los Alamos. A Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 23, 1999 at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church in Los Alamos.
