Olbert -- Muriel Everett Olbert"Our Ruie", 91, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 199. She is survived by her daughter, Louise Bland and husband, Raymond of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Kathryn Shull, Jim Shull and wife, Christen, all of Albuquerque; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Lauren and Austin; brother, Mark Everett; sisters-in-law, Serena, Eileen and Lucille; many nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard in 1958; parents, Claude and Lillie Everett; twin sister, Perle; sisters, Edna and Doris; brothers, Estel, Walter, Roy and Clarence. Muriel was born in Mancos, CO on January 2, 1908, to Claude and Lillie Everett, a pioneer cattle ranching family. She graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in education. Mrs. Olbert taught at Mrs. Trudell's Private School, in the Huning Castle, and tutored many students in her home. She retired from the City of Albuquerque, and also retired from Dillards Department Store at the age of 81. Muriel was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church for over 50 years. She was a former member of the Order of The Eastern Star and a member of Lew Wallace Chapter D.A.R. She was loved by all who knew her. She generously gave of her self to her family and friends. She was so lovingly cared for by everyone, especially by Nancy McAllister at her home and Helen and Rhonda at Vista del Rio Assisted Living Community. Services will be held Monday, 2:00 p.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1100 Indian School Rd. NE, with Rev. Melinda Wagner and Rev. Larry A. Wright officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be David Everett, Larry Everett, Lloyd Everett, Randy Everett, Don Morris and Robert Morris. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE, Sunday, 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. and Monday, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
