Sosa -- Maria Valentina Maes Sosa, was born December 10, 1916 in Mora, New Mexico. She passed away on October 7, 1999 in Albuquerque. Mrs. Sosa was pre-deceased by her husband, Alfonso and a son, Alfonso. Mrs. Sosa is survived by five sons, Luis, Thomas, Henry, John, and Ernesto; and four daughters, Roberta Tixier, Alpha Quill, Theresa Sosa-Burkett and Rebecca Lopez. Also surviving are two sisters, Anita Martinez and Juanita Chavez. Mrs. Sosa was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Martineztown. She is survived by 29 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., October 11 at the church. The family has requested that contributions be made in her memory to the Second Presbyterian Church in Martineztown. Head pallbearer is son and constant companion, Henry Sosa. Other pallbearers are her grandsons, Rolando Luis Sosa, Alfonso Picasso Sosa, Tom Sosa, Jr., John Phillip Sosa Jr., Enrique Luis Sosa, Jose Cosme Gutierrez, III, William Sanchez, and Gregory Gonzales.
