Darrow -- Catherine Darrow, 82, a resident of Albuquerque, passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, September 18, 1999. When her ten year old granddaughter, Devon arrived. Devon asked for a piece of paper and she wrote,"A Poem For Her.""As we live our lives today, we will always remember Catherine Darrow. How she would laugh, her sense of humor, and her happiness. She was brought into this world of love, peace, and harmony to do good. She is now in a place above, a lovely place, a place of happiness, peace and harmony. She will live forever in our hearts, steady and strong. We will always remember how she lived a good sensible life. She is grandmother." Catherine is survived by her husband, Robert J. Darrow of the family home; sons, Robert Darrow Jr. and friend, T. Stowe of Edgewood and Will Darrow of Wheatridge, CO; daughters, Laura Catherine Darrow of St. Louis, MO and Christine Darrow and husband, Steve Maynard of Albuquerque; and grandchildren, Lynn, Lisa, Jessie, Robert, Annie Marie, Sameer, and Devon. Catherine belonged to the Junior League and did volunteer work at Presbyterian Hospital Junior League Thrift Shop and Bernalillo Count Well Baby Clinic. She also loved to play golf. At her request, private family services will be held. Memorial contributions may be made to the Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital, 6600 Zuni Rd. SE 87108 or to Sandia Hospice, 5740 Osuna NE 87109.
