Arias -- Michael Joseph Arias, born December 20, 1993 began his new life with Jesus, October 6, 1999. Michael fought a two and a half years battle with cancer but his beautiful heart and loving soul remained an inspiration for all who knew him. The family thanks all the people in Albuquerque who kept Michael in their prayers, that is what gave Michael and his family the strength to see beyond death. Michael was born in Chandler, Arizona to Joseph and Carla Arias. Michael is survived by his parents; brother, Stephen; and sister, Gabrille; his paternal grandparents, Ray and Mary Louise Arias of Somerville, Texas; maternal grandparents, Lynette Stegdman of Dallas, Texas, Richard and Rachael Stegdman of Virginia; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Services are pending. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Michael's name to the Ronald McDonald House in Los Angeles, CA or the Phoenix Cancer Society.
