Padilla -- Juan G. Padilla, 77, beloved husband, father, and grandchildren, was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 5, 1999. He is survived by his loving wife, Esther Padilla of the family home; his children, Juanita Arnaiz of Phoenix, AZ, Genevieve Navarro, Juan Padilla and wife, Theresa, both of Barstow, CA, John Sanchez and wife, Lita, Jane Van Damme and husband, Richard; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his loving family. Final viewing will be this morning, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Funeral services will be conducted this morning, 10:00 a.m., at Aposento Alto Church, 2501 Alamogordo NW, with Pastor Rueben Guajardo. Interment will follow at La Joya, NM. Casket bearers will be Aniceto Griego, Joe Griego, David Garcia, Richard Garcia, Steve Travis, and Matthew Ortiz. Honorary bearers will be Nazario Griego, Arthur Arnaiz, Don Davis, Richard Van Damme, Bill Van Damme, and Jose Arnaiz. Funeral services are in the care of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SE, 243-5222.
