Castaneda -- Helen Castaneda, age 60, of Tijeras, died Friday, September 24, in a local hospital. Rosary was said Monday, September 27, 7:00 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ft. Davis, Texas. Mass was Tuesday, September 28, 10:00 a.m., with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Geeslin Funeral Home. Mrs. Castaneda was born March 18, 1939 to Mr. and Mrs. Eloy Jimenez in Ft. Davis. She had been a resident of Tijeras for many years. Survivors include her spouse, Carlos Castaneda of Tijeras; two sons, Carlos Castaneda Jr. and Eloy Castaneda of Tijeras; and one daughter, Lucy Castaneda, also of Tijeras.
