Duran -- Antonia C. Duran, 85, beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister, was called home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 23, 1999. Mrs. Duran was born in San Antonito, NM on May 11, 1914, daughter of the late Salomon and Beatrice Candelaria. She was preceded in death by her husband, Florencio Duran, in 1997; a grandson, Steve Duran; two sisters, Eufemia Garcia, Josie Bolagh; and one brother, Promitivo Candelaria. Mrs. Duran is survived by her loving children, Hernando Duran and wife, Lupe of Los Lunas, Sosten Duran, Diego Duran, Kenneth Duran, Aurora Aragon and husband, Julian and Erlinda Duran, all of Albuquerque; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother, Higinio Candelaria and wife, Lelia of San Antonito; several nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. A Rosary was recited Friday evening. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning, 9:30 a.m., at San Jose Catholic Church, 2401 Broadway SE. Interment will follow at San Antonito Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Larry Perea, Joseph Duran, Nathaniel Pino, Andrew Balagh, Solano Candelaria and Joe Anaya. Honorary bearers will be Jose Arellano Jr. and Patrick Candelaria. Funeral services are in the care and direction of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave. SW, 243-5222.
