Carrion -- Alice Carrion, 85, a beloved and devoted mother, grandmother and sister went to be with the Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 14, 1999. She was born on June 14, 1914; she was a life time member of the Disabled American Veterans, Auxiliary Unit 3. She is survived by two sons, Bennie Carrion and wife, Angie, Danny Carrion; four daughters, Celsa Carrion, Viola Moya and husband, Phillip, Mary Turrietta and husband, Oracio"Sana", Mary Alice Ortiz; 21 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one son-in-law, Leroy Torres Sr. and one sister-in-law, Isabel Torres and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by her loving family. Visitations will be Monday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Garcia Mortuary, on the corner of 8th and Iron, where the evening service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. also in the Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Ronnie Carrion, Jerry Moya, Bernie Torres Jr., Juan Carrion Jr., Leroy Torres Jr., Richard Carrion. Honorary bearers will be Danny Carrion, Robbey Torres, Anthony Torres and all her grandchildren. Funeral services are in the care and direction of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover Ave., S.W. 243-5222.
