Vigil -- Phillip Martin Vigil, age 11, of Milan, NM, passed away Sunday afternoon at Cibola General Hospital. Phillip was born September 7, 1987 in Albuquerque. Phillip is survived by his mother and step-father, Elizabeth and Joe Sambrano of Milan; his father, Marty Vigil and his girlfriend, Nea of Cuba, NM; one brother, Carlos Vigil of Milan; one sister, Shianne Sambrano of Milan; his paternal grandparents, Camilo and Alice Vigil of Cuba; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Theresa Hofheins of Albuquerque; his great-grandfather, Virginio Sandoval of Cuba; his great-grandmother, Josephine Vigil of Cuba; and his great-grandmother, Betty Wood of Albuquerque. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. There will be a Rosary at Immaculate conception Catholic Church in Cuba on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. Visitation will be Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Grants Mortuary Chapel. Rosary will be Thursday, 7:00 p.m., at St. Teresa Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be Friday, 10:00 a.m., at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Grants Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Keith Suazo, Noah Quintana, Steven Herrera, Dominic Herrera, Andrew Hofheins, Chris Hofheins, Derrick Baca and Terry Armstrong. Honorary pallbearers will be friends from Cuba, all his friends from Grants, his little league baseball and basketball teams, Dustin, Lamar, Matthew Garcia and Christopher Hofheins. Grants Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
