Warner -- Irene Lucille Warner, born June 6, 1917 in Ft. Stocton, Texas, daughter of James and Clara Blaine. Irene, best known as"Grandma" to her many friends, family and customers, passed away at her home June 29th, family and friends were at her side. She leaves behind two daughters, Sheila Longenette and Kay Hess both of Albuquerque; two sons, Bruce Warner of Plymouth, IN, Karlon Cruse of Kansas City, KS and stepson, Carl Lovelady of Santa Anna, CA; seven grandchildren, Jeff Longenette, Sheryl Romero, Renee Herrera, Cruse Rael, Sheena Hess and Jeremy and Ena Cruse; 19 great-grandchildren, Jason and Sara, Traci and Alex, Adam, Scott, Kay and Jade, Lief, KT, Nicole, Shawn, Jessica and Megan, Daniel, Arron and Kyle, Adam and Andy. But to these children she was known as"Grandma the Great". Longtime resident and business woman, she owned and operated the K&I Diner for 39 years. Not only building a successful business, but a close and loving relationship with her customers. She will be greatly missed by all who loved her. There will be an open house for her at the K&I Diner July 10th from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., 2500 Broadway SE, Albuquerque. In memory of"Grandma" please come and help us celebrate the life of a very colorful woman. She was 82 years old and taken by a familiar enemy, cancer.
