Tafoya -- Tony S. Tafoya, 70, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, lost his battle with cancer on Saturday, June 26, 1999, surrounded by his loving family. Tony is survived by his wife, Celsa Tafoya. Tony's family included Simon and wife, Connie, Edwina Chavez and husband, Stan, Ken and wife, Martie, Anthony and wife, Barbara, David and Mary Louise; step-children, Lando, Cynthia, Fabian and wife, Pam; and brothers, Ross and wife, Rose, Pat and wife, Annie. Tony had 22 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was a general contractor who because of his reputation as a perfectionist, was well-respected in the industry. He was an avid sportsman. All his family will remember the good time they had fishing, hunting and camping.
