Bridges -- Capt. Claude Bridges, U.S.A.F. (Ret.), 80, a resident of Albuquerque, died on Saturday, May 1, 1999. He was born on April 10, 1919 at Greenville, TX to Charles and Rose Bridges. He is survived by his wife, Clara Bridges of Albuquerque; children, Clint Bridges and wife, Sheila, Carson Bridges, Carla Garcia, Claudette Duncan, and Chardelle Edmonds and husband, Butch; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Cpt. Bridges retired from the U.S. Air Force on April 30, 1962 and served in World War II as a glider and fighter pilot. Rosary will be recited Tuesday, May 4, 1999, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE, with Deacon Dick Prentiss officiating. Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, May 5, 1999, 11:00 a.m., at Kirtland Air Force Base chapel, with Father Jerry Mueller, Celebrant. Interment will take place at 3:00 p.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Tuesday, 5:00 p.m. until Rosary.
