Reed -- Ernest E. Reed passed away on February 2, 1999 at the age of 87. He was born in Kentucky on July 7, 1911. He and Edith were married on August 12, 1960. He worked for Ford Motor Company for ten years and for General Motors in Livonia, Michigan, from 1960 to 1976, retiring at the age of 65. Later, he owned and operated Reeds Wrecking Company for ten years in Michigan. He is survived by his wife, Edith; four children, Marjorie Dargo and husband, John, Nancy Reed and husband, Dennis, Dolores Macy and husband, Bob, Gary Reed and wife, Jill; 12 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Christ Lutheran Church, 7701 Candelaria Rd. NE on Friday, February 5 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial gifts may be made to Christ Lutheran Church. Cremation arrangements are being made by Sunrise Society.
