Redding -- Edward M. Redding passed away January 30, 1999 at home surrounded by his family. He was born in 1915 in Tyron, NM and educated at the University of Denver. In 1943 at MIT, he received his doctorate in Chemical Engineering. During World War II, he served in the USNR as Lt. Commander. His professional career encompassed many fields including solar energy, jet propulsion, printing and manufacturing. He held many patents and inventions in a variety of disciplines. In addition to being president of Printing Plate Supply Co. in Chicago, he served on the board of Solan-Kettering and was Director of Research & Development for the Kettering Foundation in Dayton, OH. He is survived by his wife, Carol S. Redding; four children, Carolyn, Jane, Katharine and Charles; and a grandson, Jeffrey Ward. A private memorial service will be held in Denver, CO for family and close friends.
