Rogers -- John C. Rogers, 83, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 29 years, passed away on Friday, May 28, 1999. John was born December 2, 1915 the son of George and Lennea Wennertrom Rogers in Brooklyn, New York. He worked for Trans World Airlines for 34 and a half years before retiring. John served in the US Army during WW II, was a member of the American Legion, the Rio Rancho Kiwanis Club and the All Saints Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife, Gerda of Rio Rancho; son, George Rogers of Albuquerque; one sister, Elsie Schulz of Lantana, FL; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. A Memorial Service for John will be held on Friday, June 4, 1999 at 11:00 a.m. at the All Saints Lutheran Church with The Rev. Tim Thies officiating. In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to All Saints Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.
