Duran -- Beatrice Duran, 42, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past five years, and before that in Albuquerque, passed away on Sunday, June 13, 1999 after a courageous battle with cancer. Bea was born October 5, 1956, the daughter of Ben and Cidelia Herrera Roybal in Embudo, New Mexico. Bea has been a Lab Technician with Lovelace Health Care before her illness. Bea is survived by her beloved companion, Robert (Barney) Ruiz; mother, Cidelia Roybal; daughters, Renee Duran and Andrew Marchello, Amanda Duran; grandchildren, Jordan Ruiz and Merina Machello; two sisters, Jo Ann Medina and husband, Carlos, Mattie Vialpando and husband, Steve; two brothers, Jacob Roybal and Aaron Roybal and wife, Cecilia; many nephews and nieces; special cousin, Rachel Montoya; many aunts and uncles; co-workers and special friends. A memorial service for Bea will be held on Wednesday, June 16, 1999 at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho, with Danny Gutierrez of the North Side Assembly of God, officiating. A memorial service will also be held in Taos, NM on Thursday, June 17, 1999, 2:00 p.m., at the Taos Assembly of God with Rev. Louis Madrid officiating. Interment will be in Taos. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.
