Gurule -- Louis M. Gurule, 86, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Sunday, January 24, 1999. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances Garcia Gurule; and his son, Andy Gurule. In August 1998, he was predeceased by his wife, Eva Kilberry Gurule. Mr. Gurule is survived by three daughters and one son, Eleanor and husband, Louis Otero, Jerry Gurule and his wife, Sylvia, Mary Jane and husband, Gene Sanchez, and Patsy Rodriguez; as well as 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are his two sisters, Frances and husband, Matt Martinez and Precilla and husband, Rudy Sprunk; two brothers, Vincent Gurule and wife, Jenny and Gilbert Gurule and wife, Corrine; his two sisters-in-law, Grace Gurule and Julia Gurule; and many nephews, nieces and friends. The family wishes to thank Las Palomas Nursing Home for their special care. In fulfillment of his wishes, cremation has taken place. A Rosary and Mass will by held at Our Lady of the Annunciation Church, 2621 Vermont NE, on Friday, January 29, at 8:15 a.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Sunrise Society of New Mexico is serving the family of Mr. Gurule.
