Schmidt -- Inez Schmidt, 88, a resident of Albuquerque since 1978, died Wednesday, March 24, 1999. She is survived by her son, Christopher Schmidt and his wife, Randi of Sunnyvale, CA; and grandchildren, Anna Lewis, and Andrew and Martin Schmidt. Mrs. Schmidt was born and raised in Northern Minnesota. She raised a family and taught music and kindergarten in Waukegan, IL. Mrs. Schmidt moved to Albuquerque after the death of her beloved husband, Henry. She volunteered her time as a docent, teacher's aide, and at St. John's Episcopal Church and Thrift Shop. Mrs. Schmidt enjoyed opera, hiking and traveling in New Mexico and abroad. She died suddenly and peacefully in harmony with all. Cremation has taken place and memorial services will be held Friday, April 9, 2:00 p.m., at The Cathedral Church of St. John, 4th Street, at Silver SW, with The Rev. Canon Rhonda McIntyre officiating. a reception in her home will follow the memorial service.
