Carlton -- Francis E."Curly" Carlton, 75, a resident of Valencia County since 1964, died Monday, April 19, 1999. He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Carlton of Bosque Farms; daughter, Sharon M. Keeney and husband, Denis of Los Lunas; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, James Carlton; parents, James Carlton and Phoebe Beach; and brothers, Robert, Richard and Willard Carlton. Mr. Carlton was a veteran of WWII. He had been active with the Valencia County Sheriff's Posse and the Belen Moose Lodge. Cremation has taken place and memorial graveside services will be held Friday, 10:00 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, with Chaplain Col. Lemuel M. Boyles, U.S.A.F. (Ret.) officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association-New Mexico Affiliate, 6301 Forest Hills Drive NE, 87110.
