Kerns -- Virginia Kerns, 85, died January 11, 2000, after a long battle with lung disease. An Albuquerque resident since 1950, Virginia is survived by her daughter, Pam and husband, Rick Salmon of Tijeras; grandchildren, Ryan and Alexandra of Tijeras, Becky Barndt of Phoenix, and Amy Kabia of Greenwich, CT; and one great-grandchild, Erica Barndt of Phoenix. A celebration of the lives of Virginia and her husband, Ken, who died in 1998, will be held Saturday, January 29, 11:00 a.m., at 8800 Chambers Pl. NE. Donations may be made to the charity of your choice or to the Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute.
