Martinez -- Julio Martinez, 66, passed away on January 16, 2000. He was born in Bogota, Columbia in 1933 and came to the United States in 1960. He recently moved to Albuquerque from Arvada, Colorado. He loved his family very much and is survived by his wife, Hedy; his children, Julius and Sylvie; and his sister, Elvira Osorio. Julio was an insurance salesman for the past 26 years and worked hard to earn the trust and respect of those he served. He was always willing to help and made friends everywhere he went. He was an honest man with a good heart and he will be missed by everyone who knew him. A Memorial service will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, corner of 4th Street and Alameda Blvd., Albuquerque, on Saturday, January 22, 2000 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in his memory to Columbia Red Cross, c/o ICRC, 2100 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Suite 545, Washington, DC 20037.
