Hake -- In Loving Memory of Lewis William Hake II. Lewis William Hake II, born on January 8, 1918 in Fork Atkinson, WI, died Sunday, July 9, 2000. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis William Hake and Anna Marie Peters. A loving husband for 54 years to Shirley Ann Hake; a cherished father to Lew Hake and wife, Coe, Peggy McLane, Sherwood Hake and wife, Buffy, and Shaney Marie Hake; adored grandfather and endearing great-grandfather. A resident of Albuquerque for 36 years, who retired from Sandia Laboratories after 30 years. A United States Marine Veteran of WWII, survivor of Pearl Harbor and Guadalcanal. He will be forever remembered as an avid fisherman, a tremendous golfer, and a lover of the outdoors. There are many friends who will dearly miss this loving and humble man, who has just gone fishing. Memorial services were held Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Deacon Bob Lewis officiating.
