Serran -- Jerry H. Serrano 54, passed away suddenly on Wednesday September 13, 2000. He is survived by his wife Martha Serrano, Daughters; Tina Serrano, and Samantha Serrano, and a son, Jerry Daniel Serrano, step-daughters Dora Quintana, and Josephine Quintana, and his parents, Antonio and Rosanna Serrano, seven grandchildren; Anthony Serrano 16, Jessica Mena 9, Isaac Cadena 14mos., Jason Serrano, Justin Serrano, Joalda Lopez 5, and Roberta Lopez 3 yrs. 9 mos. Also surviving are four sisters; Rosa Gonzales, Rachel Torres, Maryanne Marquez, and Lucille Serrano; two brothers; Phil Vialpando, and Jose Leon Serrano, and in-laws, Mr. And Mrs. Avenicio Maestas, and many other family members. Jerry was an active member of American Legion Post 69, he was a hard working man who loved the outdoors, and he enjoyed helping others. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Friends may visit from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday in the Chapel of Alameda Mortuary. A Rosary will be recited on Saturday evening at 7:00 p.m. at Alameda Chapel. A Rosary will also be recited at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Bernalillo on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday morning at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows in Bernalillo. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Alameda Mortuary 9420 4th St. NW. Gary F. Santillanes C.F.S.P.
