Maestaz -- Syria Montoya Maestaz passed away September 10, 2000. She loved the Lord. Syria was preceded in death by her husband, Alvaro, parents, two sisters, and a close niece. She is survived by her three nieces, Brandi Montoya, Esther Mondragon, and Daphne Montoya; sons, Eloy Maestaz and wife, Margie, and Benjamin Maestaz; two brothers, Gabriel Montoya and wife, Eva, Eli Montoya and wife, Susie; sister, Lucille Cardenas and husband, Joe; and numerous other grandchildren, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, great-grandnieces and nephews, family and friends who loved and will miss her. Services will be held at the Assembly of God Church in Cuba, NM with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, 2000 and burial service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 13, 2000.
