Lucero -- Luciana M. (Lucy) Lucero, 84, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2000. She was the wife of the late Desiderio Lucero. She is survived by her son, Joe F. Lucero; granddaughter, Debbie Otero; great-grandchildren, Alexandra Luciana Otero, Selena Euselia Otero, and Newton L. Henley III; her caregiver, niece and godchild, Fidela Garcia Trejuque and husband, Joseph; her sisters, Fabiola Ortega; Leonela Perea; Mr. and Mrs. Porfilo Garcia; all her godchildren, extended family and long-life friends. Pallbearers will be Nestor Muniz, Robert Ortiz, Martin Muniz, Martin Benevidez, Victor Sedillo and Andres Garcia. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 12, at San Jose De Duranes Church, 2110 Los Luceros NW. Monsignor Leo Lucero will officiate Funeral Services at 10:00 a.m on Wednesday, September 13, also at San Jose de Duranes, with burial in Santa Fe National Cemetery to follow at 12:30 p.m. Strong-Thorne Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
