Spero -- Lawrence A."Larry" Spero, age 79, passed away May 19, 2000. He is survived by his wife, Mary Spero of Albuquerque; daughter, Joanne M. Spero of Durango, CO; son, Thomas L. Spero and wife, Lonnie of Farmington; daughter, Judith E. Traeger and husband, Ric of Tijeras; grandchildren, Kristin Clare Traeger and Teresa Mei Ling Traeger, both of Tijeras; brother, Raymond P. Spero; and sister, Irene Caprioglio and husband, Lou, all of Arvada, CO; and many nieces and nephews. Larry served his country during World War II in the Army, where he was a sergeant. He was the manager of the service shop of General Electric and then became a Westinghouse Sales Rep later in his career. Larry was involved with the Institute of Electrical Engineers, and he also enjoyed fishing, gardening and car repair. He was a kind and devoted husband and father for whose life we are eternally grateful. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 27, 2000 at the Aquinas Newman Center, 1815 Las Lomas Rd. NE at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1330 San Pedro NE, Suite 205, Albuquerque, NM 87110.
