Cordova -- Josephina Cordova de Gonzales, 88, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Wednesday, April 12, 2000. She was born on February 06, 1912 in La Joya, NM to Estaniflado Cordova and Veronica Mascarenas de Cordova. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lino B. Gonzales whom she was married to for 48 loving years. She is survived by her daughter Peggy Gonzales of Albuquerque; her sons, Arthur Gonzales of Albuquerque, Lino Gonzales and his wife, Christina Band de Gonzales of Denver, CO; two grandchildren, Kira Ann Gonzales of Denver, CO, Dr. Andrei J. Gonzales and his wife, Dr. Kristi Larsen de Gonzales of Olympia, WA; a brother, Sisto Cordova and his wife, Helen Cordova of Barstow, CA; a sister, Onaceima Cordova de Padilla and her husband, Felipe Padilla of Belen; numerous beloved nieces and nephews, and many good friends which she had over her lifetime. She will be dearly missed by all whose life she touched. A Rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 14, at Steadman-Hall Funeral Home in Socorro. A Funeral Mass will be held at San Miguel Church in Socorro at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 15. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. A reception will be held in Mrs. Delia Salazar's home in Florida immediately following the service. Arrangements by Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, Socorro, NM.
