Doyle -- Thomas Patrick Doyle, 71, a resident of Albuquerque since the 1960's, died Wednesday, February 9, 2000, five days after his 71st birthday, after a short bout of cancer. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Virginia Puccini Doyle; sister-in-law, Adelina Puccini Timofeyew; brother-in-law, Oreste L. Puccini and his wife, Virginia, all of Albuquerque; close friends, Kenneth"Lefty" Fisher, Raymond Griego and Ken and Kate Piper; and many nieces, nephews of Albuquerque, and many friends of Albuquerque, Ohio and Kentucky. Mr. Tom Doyle was preceded in death by his mother, Amy Creighton; father, Robert Doyle; and brother, Bob Doyle. He was a comedian, part of the famous duo, Doyle and Dedman of the Harmonicats. Mr. Tom Doyle was a talent promoter with offices in the historic Franciscan Hotel. He was a member of the American Legion Post 313. He was also a coach for the Albuquerque Boys Club basketball team, starting in 1977. Mr. Tom Doyle and his wife owned the country western nightclub, the Captains Cove, which had a 3 1/2 acre fishing lake and picnic grounds in Coldsprings, KY; the first Monterrey Tavern in Delhi, OH and the other one in Bernalillo, NM; the Blarney Stone in the Manzano Mountains, NM; and managed, with his wife, the El Rey Liquor Establishment and the Golden West Saloon, and managed rental properties. Mr. Tom Doyle also owned several racehorses, some with his partner, George Katsaros, was involved with New Mexico horse racing, and helped to promote casinos at the racetracks. He was very active in the Democratic Party. Mr. Tom Doyle was a licensed real estate agent in New Mexico. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Rosary was recited Sunday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University NE with Fr. Edmundo Rodriguez, S.J. reciting. Memorial Mass will be celebrated Monday, 10:30 a.m., at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 619 Copper Ave. NW with Fr. Edmundo Rodriguez, S.J. Celebrant. Interment of cremains will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation c/o Presbyterian Hospice Inpatient Unit, P.O.
