Houlihan -- William P. (Pat) Houlihan, 82, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2000. A former resident of Albuquerque and Santa Fe, he resided in Santa Rosa, NM since 1967, where he was a rancher. He is survived by Pauline, his wife of 54 years; daughters, Annette Boggs and husband, Fred of Roswell, Linda Cheshire and husband, Dean of Albuquerque; sons, David and wife, Carmen of Santa Rosa, Don and wife, Nancy of El Paso, Dale and wife, Doris of Tucumcari, Dan and wife, Roseann, and Dennis and wife, Marleen of Albuquerque. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Born May 8, 1918 in George West, TX, Pat served in the Air Force during World War II. Upon completion of service he married Pauline Reilly of Wichita Falls, TX and moved to Albuquerque, where he was employed by the Cornelius Company and Rust Tractor Company before moving to Santa Rosa to take over the family ranch. He was ordained as a Deacon of the Catholic Church in 1978 and served at Saint Rose of Lima Parish in Santa Rosa until his retirement in 1996; his many contributions to that community will long be remembered. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, May 18 and 19, 2000 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Santa Rosa. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, May 20, 2000, 10:00 a.m., at St. Rose of Lima, with Msgr. Joseph Pepe and Fr. Sotero A. Sena as Celebrants. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Santa Rosa. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Patrick, Philip, Jason and Sean Houlihan, Bryan and Brad Boggs, Corey and Chase Cheshire. Honorary pallbearers will be Seth, Shea, Shaw, Terrell and Tristen Houlihan and Chad Cheshire. In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make memorial contributions to Los Amigos Nursing Home, Inc., c/o Walt Eastland, P.O. Box 347, Santa Rosa, NM 88435.
