Jeffers -- "Coketta" Oldfield Jeffers, a lifetime resident of Albuquerque passed away at home after a long illness at age 55, on Tuesday, August 1, 2000. Coketta attended St. Mary's Catholic School, was a graduate of Albuquerque High School, and Regina School of Nursing. She devoted 30 years of caregiving and compassion to the terminally ill. Her many friends and family will truly miss her Irish wit and unconditional love. Coketta is survived by her husband, Virgil Jeffers; four daughters, Kathleen Weidnerm her sons, Jason Schoolcraft and wife, Roberta, and Kaleb Weidner, Debbie Beeson, her husband, Kenneth, and sons, Troy and Glenn Barber, Linda Shawn and husband, Zane, their children, Brian Oldfield, Dustin and Chandra Shaw, Cynthia Mauzy and husband, Joe, children, Justin Thigpen and wife, Wendy and Andrea Taul. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love, care, and compassion of extended family members; Sue Garcia, Melody Scobee and family, Crystal Ritchie, and the staff of Delta Hospice. Services will be held at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 3, 2000. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 4, 2000.
