Clark -- Emma Marie Landaiche Clark. On Friday, January 28, 2000, our beloved mother and friend claimed the promise of eternal life and rests now in that place prepared for her by her lifelong companion and friend, her Way, Truth and Life, Jesus Christ. She is survived locally by her son; daughter, Mary Aynn Shoemate and husband, Ebb; granddaughter, Jamie Clark; grandson, Land Clark and wife, Lyla; great-grandchildren, Galland Clark, Taylor Clark and Michael Clark. Other survivors include her dear nephew, A.P. Landaiche and wife, Patti Anne of Baton Rouge, LA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Her unconditionally love and generosity created an extended family of sons, daughters, brothers and sisters throughout the world. Born near Reserve, LA, January 17, 1907, she became a resident of Albuquerque in 1945. She retired from the Budget Department at Kirtland AFB in 1972 after 28 years as a Civil Service employee. Following the death of her husband, Jim Clark in 1974, she became active with St. Joseph Prayer Center and ministered as a Christian Counselor for many years. An accomplished pianist in her youth, and always a strong supporter of the arts, she was the first treasurer of the reorganized Albuquerque Civic Light Opera Association in 1968. Rosary services at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel, 1111 University Blvd. NE on Monday, 7:00 p.m., will be led by members of St. Joseph Prayer Center. A Mass celebrating Emma's joyful union with her Lord will be said Tuesday, 9:30 a.m., at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 1818 Coal Pl. SE, with Father James Wheeler S.J., Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Serving as pallbearers will be Land Clark, Galland Clark, Peter Frenzel, Dan Mueller, Bo Baca and Joe Shoemate. Because everyone who knew Emma is aware of her love of flowers, the family welcomes and appreciates floral remembrances or contributions to a charity of personal choice. French Mortuary, 1111 University Blvd. NE.
