Dunlap -- Lorene"Lani" Manulani Dunlap, age 43, a resident of Albuquerque since 1976 died on Wednesday, March 15, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, David Dunlap; daughter, Ariel both of the family home; mother, Sarah Laa Bowers and husband, Walter of Tucumcari, NM; father, Charlie Irwin and wife, Jackie of Shady Point, OK; sisters, Cindy Naranjo and husband, Frank, Charlene Lewis, all of Albuquerque; brother, Glenn Bowers of Phoenix, AZ; five nephews, Shaun, Leon, Robbie, Neal and Joel; grandmother, Hester Lorene Irwin of Shady Point, OK. Mrs. Dunlap was of Hawaiian descent and loved music. Her middle name, Manulani, means"heavenly bird". She played the flute, loved to sing, and performed with the Gallup High School band in Europe. She was a natural leader and was very involved in charitable causes. She taught at an English camp in Hong Kong, China in 1999. She was a longtime employee of 17 years at Citibank. At the same time she continued to pursue a bachelors degree in business. She deeply loved her family and was always thinking of her daughter and nephews. She will be missed by all who knew her. She deeply loved the Lord and was a member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Services will be held Monday, March 20, 2000, 10:30 a.m., at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE, with Pastor Don Wilson and Pastor Cookie Leonardelli officiating. Friends may visit French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas NE on Sunday, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy NE 87111.
