Cruikshank -- Harold Richard (Dick) Cruikshank was born in Chicago, IL, August 27, 1922, and passed away at home on Tuesday evening, March 14, 2000 after a long illness. Dick is survived by Ruth, his loving wife of 56 years; daughters, Pamela Joy Ulrich and husband, John of San Angelo, TX and Deborah Kay Loinette and husband, Michael of Dallas TX; his sister, Mrs. Norma Williams of Silverdale, WA; his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Hufnagel and his wife, Helen of Denver, CO; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Dick served for a year in the Colorado Civilian Conservation Corps, and was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Philippines. He was a graduate of Denver University, having attended under the GI Bill. He began his career with the Atomic Energy Commission in Los Alamos in 1949, with later assignments in Albuquerque, San Antonio, TX, Amarillo, TX, and Burlington, IA, where he retired. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church, where a memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 18, 2000. (The church is located at 210 Alvarado Dr. SE). A private interment will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Association, 216 Truman NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108 or to Redeemer Lutheran Church. Dick will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Sunrise Society is serving the family of Mr. Cruikshank, (891-8200).
