Nelson -- Arden Royce Nelson, age 67, died Tuesday, August 15, 2000, after a battle with cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. He is survived by his wife, Nancy; sons, Rick L. Nelson of Houston, TX, Kerry Nelson and wife, Andrea and their son, Jonathan, Christopher Nelson and wife, Sandra and their daughter, Sara and husband, Robert Trujillo, all of Albuquerque, NM; and brother, Duane Nelson of Espanola, NM. He is also survived by his faithful dogs, Kira and Cricket, who stayed by his side through the last months of his illness. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael S. Nelson. He was born in Oakland, Nebraska. He has been a resident of Albuquerque for 44 years. He was with Goodrich Roofing Co. for over 30 years before retiring early this year. He was well-known as a roofing construction estimator and consultant. As Vice-President of Goodrich Roofing, he was a member of the National Roofing Association and the Association of General Contractors. He enjoyed Indian arts and crafts and he attended Indian Market in Santa Fe for many years, attired in favorite velvet Indian shirts and Indian jewelry. He was interested in cowboy culture, especially in boots and western hats. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held Saturday, August 19, 2000, 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Chapel, 7121 Wyoming NE
