Nuanes -- Jesusita S. (Jessie) Nuanes went home to her heavenly Father on November 3, 2000. Jessie was born in Alameda November 11, 1918 to Alfredo and Isabel Sandoval. Her mother passed away when Jessie was an infant and she was raised by loving grandparents Francisco and Lucia Lucero y Montoya. She was a graduate of the ťSisters of Laredo in Bernalillo. She married Henry Nuanes and was the mother of three children. After her children were raised she went back to school and received her Nursing License from St. Joseph's School of Nursing. She worked several years as a nurse at Bernalillo County Medical Center and Presbyterian Hospital. Jessie was a successful owner of a Seniors Boarding Home in Alameda. Mrs. Nuanes is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years; beloved daughter, Isabel Duran; brothers, Joseph, Charlie and George Sandoval; and sisters, Stella Sandoval and Lucia Aragon. She is survived by her son, Henry Nuanes and wife, Ginger of Albuquerque, daughter, Patsy Bachicha and husband, Herman of Colorado Springs, CO; son-in-law, Esibio Duran; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, November 6, 2000, 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Rosary will follow at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. N.E. Communion service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 9502 4th N.W. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
