Childs -- Sherry L. Childs, a devoted and beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend to many, passed away Friday, November 3, 2000 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Jerry Childs; daughter, Lori Tufaro and husband, Jerry; and granddaughter, Rachel; sons, Jay Childs and wife, Kathleen with a grandson due in January; Jon Childs and wife, Lisa all of Albuquerque; mother, Clara Billingsley of Clovis, NM; sister, Toni Betty and husband, Robert of Concan, TX; brother, Phillip Billingsley and wife, Gay of Las Cruces, NM; father-in-law, Elvis Childs of Farwekk, TX; nieces and nephews, Robert Betty and wife, Becca, Mike Billingsley and wife, Stephanie, Jeff Betty and wife, Anita and Tonya Billingsley and numerous great-nieces and nephews; special family, Todd and Rosa Sterk and children, Ryan and Amanda Rose, Antonietta Pachelli and children, Adrianna and Andrew. Sherry is preceded in death by her father, Clark Billingsley; and brother, Benny, who died at birth. She was a member of Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She loved having a house filled with family, playing games and watching the Braves. Her faith in God was an inspiration to all that knew her, especially during the last two years of her life. Visitation will take place Tuesday, November 7, 2000 from 3:00 p.m. to7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. N.E. Services will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2000 at 1:00 p.m. at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Blvd. N.E. Burial will take place in Farwell, TX., Thursday, November 9, 2000.
