Rasmussen -- Harold Arnold Rasmussen, 74, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 30 years, passed away on Monday, October 16, 2000. Harold was born on July 3, 1926, the son of Carl S. and Aurora Nielson in Delafield, Wisconsin. He had been a Sales Manager for the W.W. Steel Co. and a General Manager for Wilbanks Steel for 20 years before retiring. He was preceded in death by his son, Harold Rasmussen, Jr. Harold is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Rio Rancho; four children, Sandy Back of Rio Rancho, Rita Heindel and Allan of Hurst, TX, David Rasmussen and Sandy of Rio Rancho, Debbie Housey of Rio Rancho and Rick of Bernalillo; two sisters, Margaret Mehling of Waukesha, WI, Jane Ruenger and Gene of Whitewater, WI; one brother, Carl Rasmussen and Marie of Waukesha, WI; five grandchildren, Krys Lewis, Erik Rasmussen, Jerod Rasmussen, Keri Heindel, and Scott Housey; two great-grandchildren, Haegan and Delaney Lewis. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2000, 2:00 p.m., at the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church with The Rev. Robert Clary officiating. Memorial contributions have been suggested to the Presbyterian Hospice or the Rio Rancho Presbyterian Church. Cremation arrangements by Sunrise Society of New Mexico, 891-8200.
