Margo -- Gus"Kostas" Margo died October 16, 2000 at the age of 71. He was born on September 14, 1929 in Kalamata, Greece, where he served as an officer in the Greek Army. He became a U.S. citizen shortly after arriving here in 1964 and has since lived in Albuquerque. He managed several restaurants in Albuquerque before developing his own real estate and appraisal firm. He is survived by his wife, Carol; daughters, Vena Margo and Lena Eddings; son-in-law, Scott Eddings; grandchildren, Ariana Jo and Jak Eddings; his sister, Katherine Argyres; as well as many nephews, nieces, and friends. He is remembered as a husband, father, and Papou whose love and spirit goes deeper than anything we have ever known. He made a difference to everyone who knew him. A Trisagion service will be performed on Wednesday, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 308 High Street SE. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to American Diabetes Association, 525 San Pedro NE, #101, Albuquerque, NM 87108, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, or St. George Greek Orthodox Church.
