Lunt -- Harry Ruel Lunt, age 80, of Belen, beloved husband of wife, Ellamae, died December 31, 1999 at Saint Joseph's Hospital. He was born on April 3, 1919 at Williamsport, PA. He graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 1942 and thereafter served in World War II. In 1945, he received the Bronze Star Medal for heroic achievement in action. Mr. Lunt was a Special Agent in the FBI from 1948 until 1976 when he retired. Thereafter he worked as a Private Investigator periodically out of the Detroit Michigan area for eight years. Subsequently, he was employed by the U.S. State Department as an investigator in their Security Department for seven years. Mr. Lunt was a member of the Presbyterian Church, where he had previously served as an elder in St. Clair Shores, MI and in Belen. He is survived by his wife, Ellamae Lunt of Belen; a son and his wife, Jeffrey R. and Karen Lunt of Albuquerque; a daughter and her husband, Leslie and James Byrnes of Paradise Hills. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Erin and Jake Byrnes. A Memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Belen, 85 Manzano Highway, on Friday, January 7, 2000 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the New Mexico Boy's Ranch, 775 Highway 304, Belen, NM 87002.
