Didomenico -- Concezio (Joe) Didomenico, age 96, of Raton, NM passed Monday, December 23, 2002 in Raton. He was born December 8, 1906 in San Valentino, Italy the son of Clemente and Anna Chiachia, Didomenico. He was a retired coal miner, a member of the United Mine Workers of America, a member of St. Patricks-St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Raton and a Veteran of WWII serving in the United States Army. Mr. Didomenico moved from Italy with his parents in 1913 and became a citizen of the United States. He is survived by one brother, Nick Didomenico of Las Vegas, NM; two sisters, Sentina Didomenico of Raton and Adeline Starkovich of Raton. Visitation was held Thursday, December 26, 2002 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home. Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Friday, December 27, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Patricks-St. Joseph's Catholic Church recited by Deacon Tom Alderette. Solemn Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. Guy Roberts as the Celebrant. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements for Joe Didomenico are under the directions of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home.
