Trone -- Harriet Ann Trone, 59, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2002, after a long courageous battle with Leukemia. She was born in Denver, CO, February 16, 1942 to Stella and Harry Jessing. Harriet attended Durango High School in Durango, CO where she met, Donald, her future husband, at The Malt Shop where she worked in her junior year. After graduating, she and Don married July 2, 1960 and moved to New Mexico in 1964. Besides her husband of 41 years, the great loves of her life were her three children, Bob, Donna and Charlotte. Harriet was a marvelous homemaker who was known for her Italian cooking. She enjoyed her gardens and was an avid swimmer at Los Altos Pool. Harriet loved having breakfast with all of her swim friends. One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with family and friends and she was a mother figure and mentor to many. She had volunteered for Hospice where she helped many people transition over peacefully. In addition to her husband and her children, Harriet is survived by her brothers, George Whitworth and Richard Jessing, his wife, Ruth of Denver, CO and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, and special friend, Carrie Bailey. Her husband and children extend their heartfelt appreciation to all involved with Harriet's care including the staff at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and Hematology-Oncology Associates in Albuquerque, and all those who called, sent letters, cards, gifts and prayers of love. Rosary will be recited Thursday, January 24, 2002, at 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, with Deacon Frank See reciting. Mass will be celebrated Friday, January 25, 2002, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4020 Lomas NE, with Father Francis Malley, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Thursday, January 24, 2002, 4:00 p.m. until time of Rosary. Harriet remains a shining light to all that knew her and will be forever missed.
