Earnest -- Laverne Earnest, 81, a longtime resident of Estancia passed away Sunday, January 20, 2002 in Bothell, WA. She was born to Thomas Lot and Lanora Carrie (Johnston) Kimbriel February 10, 1920, in Leia Lake, TX. Laverne married Everett Ernest, November 1939, he preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Earnest is survived by three daughters, Eunice Faye Earnest of Bothell, WA, Evelyn E. Blanchard of Carlsbad, NM and Frankye E. Wehmhoner, of El Paso, TX; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, January 25, 2002, 11:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church of Estancia, with Pastor Dave Blackwell officiating, burial will follow at the Estancia Memorial Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Harris-Hanlon Mortuary in Moriarty.
