Montoya -- Sarah H. Montoya, age 92, a life long resident of New Mexico died Monday March 25, 2002 in a local nursing home following an illness. Mrs. Montoya is survived by four daughters, Veronica Padilla and husband, Tommy, Alma Montoya, Mary Lopez, Josephine Perea and husband, Leo; two sons, Gilbert J. Montoya and wife, Cecilia, Jesse Montoya and wife, Loy all of Albuquerque. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Sarah loved flowers and asked that after her funeral they be donated to Manzano Del Sol in appreciation for the fine and loving care she received. Viewing and Visitation will be Tuesday, March 26, 2002 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave SE with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Joe Vigil Celebrant. Interment will follow in Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Strong-Thorne Mortuary will be handling her arrangements.
