Hamm -- Darold David Hamm, devoted and loving Father, Brother, Grandfather, and Friend, passed swiftly and peacefully from this world with family by his side on June 1, 2002. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carol Sue and parents, David and Esther Hamm. They have greeted him at the threshold of heaven with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who grants peace and comfort to those he has left behind. Darold is survived by his daughters, Krystal Rains, her husband, Stephen, and Kelly Wands, her husband Donald; grandchildren, Akayla, DJ, Doniesha, Jerath, Hank, Jacob, Jade, Kimber, Clint, Shamus, Tiana, and Bradon; sisters, Phyllis Flansberg and Ruth Backer; stepchildren, Amey Freeburn, Wendie Tafoya, Christopher Freeburn, Vickie Faberino and Brian Dowty; nephews, Joel and Regan; and nieces, Hollie and Courtney. Mr. Hamm was a US Air Force Veteran. He continued his proud and faithful service throughout his life. Dedication and commitment to his work and co-workers exemplified his 21ťyear service to Creamland Dairy, in his operations, maintenance and management responsibilities. His continued commitment as a veteran was revealed in his membership of American Legion Post 49. Originally from Dallas, Oregon, Darold became a wholehearted fan of New Mexico, which continued for over 20 years. The weather, balloons, art shows, Lobos, fishing and golf, all became part and parcel of his life. But by far, his caring and concern for all his family and friends exceeded any personal pursuit in his life. Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at Celebration Baptist Church, 5620 Laredo Rd., Rio Rancho with Pastor David Brittain, officiating. Private interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the following organizations, Portland Shriners Hospital, 3101 S. W.
