Elmore -- MSGT. Acey Elmore, USAF (Ret.), 67, a 32-year resident of Albuquerque, died Tuesday, June 18, 2002. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sae Elmore of Albuquerque; son, Joseph Elmore of Albuquerque; brothers, Tom Elmore of Florida and Ben Elmore of Ohio; and sister, Nina Elmore. She was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Jane Elmore and his oldest brother Mac Elmore. Acey was born in Roxialia, WV and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1952. While on active duty in Japan, he met his wife, Sae Kaneko and they were married on March 19, 1962. He served during the Korean and Vietnam Conflicts and retired in February 1973. After retirement, he worked for Barnhill Bolt Company for 24 years until his second retirement in 1997. He then enjoyed working on cars, attending garage sales, and loved reading. Acey was a beloved husband and father who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
