Astrid (Ozzie) Hilda Helena Oberg Sullins, born April 1, 1917 in Chicago, IL, a resident of"Westwind House" assisted living in Albuquerque, went to be with our Lord on Friday, July 12, 2002. Astrid's parents immigrated in the early 1900's from Sweden and she grew up in Chicago. The family moved to a farm during the Depression, and she graduated from Capron, IL's Capron High School in 1935. After college she moved to New Mexico in 1946 and continued her business career. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears, being a housewife and making her great roast for all her family to enjoy. Ozzie was also a life member of the Scandinavian Club of Albuquerque which is devoted to enhancing Scandinavian culture in New Mexico. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Astrid is survived by her daughter, Karen Faith Miller; granddaughter, Kristin Astrid Hill; great granddaughter, Katrina Martinez; granddaughter, April Blake Miller and fiancä, Tim Thomas; daughter, Janet Louise Tiffany and husband, Jack; grandson, Jason Tiffany; granddaughter, Courtney Ives and husband, Michael; great grandchildren, Teague, Rhiannon and Jade Tiffany; great grandchildren, Taylor and Alexa Ives. Daughter, Linda Sue Cromwell and fiancä, Kurt Huber; granddaughter, Brooke Cromwell; grandsons, Brandon and Matthew Cromwell; great grandchildren, Joseph Archuleta and Savannah Duverger; sister, Donna Mae Costello and husband, Jim; niece, Kathleen Soukup and husband, Scott; and nephew, Edward Costello. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. Sullins, her parents, Ernest and Hilda Oberg, and her brother, Elmer Oberg. Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 17, 2002, at 11:30 a.m., at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE, Wednesday, July 17, 2002, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Sandia Hospice, 4775 Indian School Rd.
